Understanding Chrome Enterprise device management
For Chrome devices, like Chromebits, Chromeboxes, Chromebases, and Chromebooks, using Fugo in kiosk mode is highly recommended. This ensures a single, secure app and automatic relaunch in case of issues.
To run Fugo on Chrome devices, you'll need a Chrome license. You have two options: an annual Chrome Enterprise license priced at $25 per device or a perpetual license at $150. You can obtain these licenses through Google's partners, which offer enhanced device management.
These licenses provide access to Chrome Enterprise, a set of device management features that require integration with Google Workspace.
Setting up Google Workspace involves integrating your domain and creating an administrator account. You can choose Business editions for small teams or specific deployments for nonprofits or educational institutions.
You'll find a breakdown of what's needed & costs in our set up guide here.
⚠️ If you don't use kiosk mode, Fugo will run as a Chrome extension with performance limitations and no auto-start capability.
For this reason, we highly recommend a Chrome Enterprise Upgrade or Kiosk & Signage Upgrade to run Fugo optimally.
