If your organization uses Google Authenticator to login to your required dashboard, then you'll require a Secret Key from Google to input during your dashboard configuration in Fugo.
This Secret Key is an alphanumeric code that essentially allows Fugo to act as a trusted user to access your dashboard.
This guide will walk you through how to get your Secret Key from Google and use it to configure your dashboard with 2FA in Fugo's TV Dashboards feature.

What you'll need
In order to set up Fugo TV Dashboards with a Google Account, you'll need the following three things:
Service account: set this up inside your Google account.
Secret key: Turn on two-step verification and set this up in your authenticator app. Make sure all other verification methods are disabled.
Authenticator app: Get a secret key that's generated by your Google Account

How to configure 2FA in Google to work with Fugo
This will consist of two parts:
Part 1: Get your secret key & set up the Authenticator app
We'll break part 1 down into 3 sections, depending on how far you've gotten with your authentication app and your secret key:
I already have my secret key and authenticator app
Great! You can jump straight to Part 2: Sign out of your mobile devices & remove your recovery email & phone.
I already have the authenticator app set up but I don't have the secret key
You'll need to set up the Authenticator app again & get the secret key in the process.
To do that:
1. Go to your Google Account and navigate to your Security page.
Continue to the next section: I don't have a secret key or the authenticator app set up to set up the authenticator app again and most importantly, get the secret key.
I don't have a secret key or the authenticator app set up
In order to enable 2-Step Verification on your account, you must first have an associated recovery phone. If you already have a recovery phone set up, skip to step 6.
1. Go to your Google Account and navigate to your Security page.
Turn on 2-Step Verification in the Signing into Google section.
2. On the next page, click GET STARTED
3. You may be asked to set up your phone as an additional layer of security. There are various options of layers you can add but for the purpose of this guide we will go with Text Message.
After entering your phone number and clicking NEXT you should receive a verification code.
4. Enter the verification code and click NEXT again.
5. If you did everything correctly up until now you should see a big green check mark.
Now all you'll have to do to complete the setup successfully is to select TURN ON and then in the next pop up, click DONE.
6. On the next page, click SET UP under Authenticator App.
7. Choose your phone type and click NEXT.
8. You should now see a pop-up with a QR code.
Once you download the Authenticator app from the app store & open it, make sure to click CAN'T SCAN IT in order to get the Secret Key.
9. This will reveal the secret key. First, copy and securely save the key somewhere. This is very important because you'll need it later to finish setting up your dashboard in Fugo.
Make sure you do not click the back button here as this will generate a new code.
10. Enter the secret key manually in the authenticator app to get the 6-digit verification code needed for the next step.
11. Enter the code back into the authenticator app.
After the successful completion of the set up you should now see the authenticator app in your Google Account's 2-Step Verification page.
Now, continue on to the next section (Part 2) π
Part 2: Sign out of your mobile devices & remove your recovery email & phone
Sign out from your mobile devices in Google & remove the recovery email & phone. You need to make sure the only verification method enabled in your account is to enter a code from an authenticator app.
Otherwise, Fugo's Dashboard Recorder might struggle to repeat your login steps as your journey becomes unpredictable.
You're ready to set up your dashboard in Fugo!
How to capture your dashboard in Fugo with 2FA enabled
With your secret key saved & 2FA enabled, you're ready to connect your dashboard in Fugo!
You'll need to follow the instructions for creating a new dashboard in Fugo & saving it to be displayed on screen.
You'll find full instructions for each dashboard service we support in the next section: More guidance connecting your dashboard.
For now, let's cover the parts of the process where you'll be prompted to set up your dashboard in Fugo using your 2FA credentials.
The first part of the process will be when you sign into your dashboard.
The Fugo Dashboard Recorder will launch to start the process of logging into your dashboard. It's at this point that you'll be asked to enter your email address and for the code generated by your Authenticator app that we set up in the Part 1.
Let's walk through an example of how this will work using Trello.
Let's say you are trying to display a Trello Dashboard and want to sign in with your Google account that's enabled with 2FA.
1. First, Click Continue with Google when you're prompted to sign in.
2. Enter your service account email and password.
3. Enter the Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) code from your authenticator app.
4. Once logged in and looking at your dashboard, you'll take a screenshot of it with Fugo.
You'll find full instructions for that portion of the process for each dashboard service we support in the next section: More guidance connecting your dashboard.
For now, we'll skip that & cover the next part of the setup process where you'll need to enter a 2FA credential.
The second part of the process will be after you've screenshotted your dashboard, when you're prompted to enter your secret key.
After screenshotting your dashboard, you'll be prompted to enter the Secret Key that we generated in Part 1.
You should see the red prompt Enter secret key under the Pass 2-Factor Authorization step in the Recorded Steps panel.
Click this and enter the secret key that you generated and saved earlier.
From there, you should be good to go!
