💡 Note: This guide walks you through the process of setting Fugo up to run on a consumer-grade Samsung TV. Head over to this guide to find the steps for setting up Fugo on a commercial SSSP (Samsung Smart Signage Platform) display.
Fugo + Samsung
Fugo can run on both consumer and professional Samsung displays. So whether you've shelled out for a Samsung Smart Signage Platform display or opted for an off-the-shelf TV (heck, maybe that screen sitting in your office closet is a Samsung after all) it just takes a few steps to get set up to run content on screen with Fugo.
Why You Might Want To Consider a Media Player
As mentioned above, consumer-grade TV screens do not pack the same punch as a professional digital signage display. Even smart TVs can not match professional displays when it comes to power & content capability.
However, if you don't want to upgrade to a more expensive & powerful display, you can beef up your consumer TV by attaching a media player or set top box to turn it into a smart digital signage display. You don't need to spend loads of money either - there are plenty of off-the-shelf devices under $200 that will do the trick:
A Chromecast with Google TV
If you're looking for something more powerful, Fugo players are a good option for turning your consumer screens into more Enterprise-ready devices. You can learn more about those here.

How To Tell If You Have a Consumer Grade TV
You may not know whether your screen is a consumer or professional display - no sweat! Here are a few tip-offs that you may have a consumer Samsung TV:
Many professional Samsung displays do not have the Samsung app store. If your screen does have an app store, it may be a consumer-grade screen.
Professional displays are significantly more expensive than consumer displays. If you happen to know the price of your display, that will usually tip you off as to which you have.
Professional displays (SSSP displays) have a feature called the URL Launcher - if your screen has it, then you have an SSSP display.
These are not hard and fast rules for identifying what kind of screen you have. If in doubt, we advise that you ask someone on your team who may have that info or just cross-check the model code (here's how to find it) with Samsung's website.
Why does it matter?
Whether you have a consumer TV or an SSSP display will determine how you install the Fugo player app onto your screen.
If you have an SSSP display, you will need to use the URL launcher (or a USB drive) to install the Fugo player. You'll find instructions for that here.
If you have a consumer TV, you can follow the directions laid out below 👇
Install The Fugo Player App Onto Your TV Screen
From the Samsung Apps Store
*The Fugo player app can be found in the Samsung Apps Store on select models, with support on more models to come in the future. We encourage you to search the Apps store on your screen for the Fugo app, as this is the simplest way to install Fugo onto your screen.
From the Home screen, navigate to and select Apps, and then select the Search icon in the top-right corner.
Search for the "Fugo Digital Signage Player" app and select Install.
Press the Home button to open the Home screen menu again. The Fugo app should now be listed on the Home menu. Use the remote to navigate to it and open it.
If the Fugo app isn't listed on the Home menu, use the remote to select Apps, and then select the Fugo app.
Once you've launched the app, you will see the Fugo pairing screen with a QR code and a pairing PIN. We'll cover what to do with the PIN below.
From the Browser
If you do not have the Apps Store on your screen or can not find the Fugo app in it, you can install the Fugo player app from the browser on your screen.
Open the browser on your TV screen.
Enter the following URL: https://player.fugo.ai
You'll see the pairing PIN and QR code to allow you to connect and manage your new screen with your Fugo account.
We'll cover what to do with that PIN in the next section.
Hide the Address Bar & Go Into Full Screen Mode
In the browser, click in the upper right corner on the gear icon
Go to "Browser Settings"
Go to the "General" sub-menu
You will have an option to "Hide menu" - you need to enable this
Finally you need to restart the browser application to have the menu hidden
