The Fugo app uses Android WebView to display content. If you’re running into issues with 24/7 playback on your Ugoos device, it might be because Ugoos devices ship with outdated versions of WebView preinstalled. The more recent versions of Android WebView contain patches for the most common issues related to long-term playback in the Fugo app.
This is a guide on how you can update WebView to make sure you’re always running the latest version - thankfully, it’s pretty easy! Take a look below:
1. Updating and Using the Latest WebView
1.1
Open the Google Play Store from your home screen, by tapping on the icon.
1.2
Search for “WebView” by using the Search bar at the top of the screen.
1.3
Find “Android System WebView” in the results, and select it.
1.4
Install the app, by tapping the Install button.
1.5
Head back to your Home screen, and open the Settings by tapping the icon.
1.6
Select Device Preferences.
1.7
Select Developer Options.
1.8
Select Webview Implementation.
1.9
From here, you can change which implementation of WebView you want to use. For this, you’ll want to select Google WebView.
And that should be it! You can go ahead and close the settings menu, and any issues you’re running into with extended playback in the Fugo app should now be fixed. However, if you’re still seeing any problems, please don’t hesitate to drop our expert support team an email at support@fugo.ai any time!
